Subsidised prescription medication for Jamaicans of any age living with a chronic illness covered by the National Health Fund.

NHF Card

Who can apply

  • Jamaican residents of any age
  • Diagnosed with one or more chronic illnesses on the NHF benefit list

What to bring

  • Valid government-issued photo identification
  • Tax Registration Number (TRN)
  • A completed application form with the medical section signed by your doctor

How to apply

  • 1Have your doctor complete and sign the medical section of the form
  • 2Submit the completed form to the NHF or a participating pharmacy
  • 3Your NHF card arrives by mail or for collection
  • 4Present the card with your prescription at a participating pharmacy

The NHF Card subsidises medication for chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, arthritis and several others. There is no age limit and no means test. If you have a covered condition, you qualify.
