Who can apply
- Families in the division with children enrolled in primary or secondary school
- Priority is given to households facing financial hardship
- PATH beneficiaries may qualify for additional support through the PATH education grant
What to bring
- Valid government-issued photo identification for the parent or guardian
- Birth certificate for each child
- Proof of school enrolment or a letter from the school
- Proof of address within the division
How to apply
- 1Contact the office when the back to school period is announced, usually from June
- 2Complete the request form for each child
- 3Submit the form with supporting documents
- 4Collect approved items or assistance at the notified date and location
Assistance varies year to year depending on available resources and partnerships. Requests received early in the season have the best chance of being met.
Families already on PATH should also ask about the PATH education grant, which is separate from divisional assistance.
